May goals

I missed last months 'goals' post because I thought people didn't like reading them but obviously I was wrong as I held a poll on twitter and let you guys decide what post I should do for today and you chose 'May goals' so here we are.
A little insight to my mind and my ambitions in general life and with this little homely blog.
Lets get crackalackin' shall we.

Personal Goals:
I try not to set too many personal goals on a monthly bases because I get really disheartened if I don't achieve them but I like to set a few which start practically the same month-to-month.

1. Continue watching my sugar: For the past couple of months I've been watching my sugar intake due to my fear of getting diabetes. I've been using myfitnesspal to document my meals and it has helped SO much! You simply scan the bar-code's or type the item in and it adds it to either breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. It also has a button you can press and it shows you your daily allowance for sugar, carbs, calories etc. and tells you how much you've had and how much remains.

2. Read more: Okay so I say this EVERY month and I do read every day (if you count blogs and other articles) but I want to start reading more books. I'm going to start doing weekly book reviews due to the great response my review of Big magic received last week, so hopefully it'll encourage me to start reading more and give you guys some extra books to add to your reading list.

3. Try to stop being so stressy: I get worked up a lot and worry about literally everything so I'm going to try and monitor my thoughts and calm myself down. I'm also going to stop shouting at Shane so much because lately, due to all the crap that's going on, I've been stressed and only take it out on him which isn't fair at all (soz bae)

Blog Goals:
So now I've gone full time with blogging (woohoo!) I figured I should start sharing my blog goals with you all so you get a good feel of what's goin' on around my little internet home.

1. Triple my current audience on each platform: Kinda speaks for itself but now I'm full time I have loads more room to double down and get involved in lots of different blogger activities which will hopefully help me reach a wider audience (doesn't mean I don't love you tho)

2. Throw up 3 posts a week: If all goes to plan, I want to post thoughtful posts like 'I will never be beautiful' or reviews like 'Big Magic' on Mondays, lists and advice like 'Loving Yourself' and '5 things to do when you feel sad' on Wednesdays, and more personal posts like 'When I am 30' on Fridays.

3. Connect with other bloggers: Now I've got time to get involved in events, meet ups and twitter chats, I want to be doing A LOT more of each one. I want to make friends in the blogging community with like minded, ambitious people so leave your links in the comments below and I'll give you a follow on twitter, instagram and bloglovin'

  1. This is a really great idea! I feel like when you make your goals public, you have to stick to them haha. That app sounds like a good thing to have too, might give it a go.

    1. Yeah haha of you have to shamefully explain in your monthly round up why you haven't done what you said you were going to do lol and yeah myfitnesspal is amazing! xx

  2. Awesome May goals! I used to use FitnessPal, but I quit because it was hard finding each item that I used for my meal. I had no idea you could now scan barcodes with it! That's a great idea and huge improvement for the app! I may have to re-download it and try it again. I'm also right there with you in trying to read more and stress less. It can be hard to find/make time for those, but being public about my goals has really helped me stay more on track. Hopefully it helps you as well!

Best of luck on your blog goals this month. I imagine BEDM is probably helping you to stay on task. Keep up the good work! Your blog looks great! :)

    1. Yeah I found that a little tricky but now you can scan barcodes I've fallen in love!
I totally agree with you, I've been staying on track since I publicised my goals, hope you're doing well too, Mandy!

  3. I love how you have categorized your goals into two define headings. Thats a good idea, thanks for the inspiration. Nice post!

    Yasmin TELLS
