3 inspirational quotes to get you through the day.

3 inspirational quotes to get you through the day, 3 inspiring quotes, quotes, inspirational, inspire

I usually share self-help tips on Wednesdays, failing that, I write what I feel I want to hear to help me through. Today, it'll be the latter.

Saturn is, well, was in retrograde up until the 13th August (I think) and apparently Saturn is the "karma" planet, so if bad shit has been happening its cause you've been naughty in the past/in a previous life. I've apparently not been a very good person so like ALL the bad has been happening lately and I've gotten to a point right now where I'm throwing in the towel for a day or two: I don't feel strong enough to carry on pushing through right now. That's not to say I won't get there because I'm a strong ass motherfucker but right now, I feel like lying down and taking the punches rather than trying to get up and fight back. i don't know if that makes me sound weak or not, but that's just where I'm at right now. So here's some quotes I've saved off of Tumblr that's made me smile/ponder/remember life ain't that bad:

The most fundamental aggression to ourselves, the most fundamental harm we can do to ourselves, is to remain ignorant by not having the courage and the respect to look at ourselves honestly and gently.
           —  Pema Chodron

Sometimes just saying to yourself at the end of the day - “Hey you, you made it through the day. I’m proud of you.” - Is enough to help you sleep at night.         —  Raven Essex

be poetic. if you find the way the light falls through your window and onto your bedroom wall pretty, write about it. call it soft and golden as sunlit honey. if it makes you glad to be alive then it’s not silly. you look for the beauty of things, be proud of that. say the heavy rain is kissing you. write about the glow of the moon, the dancing of flowers. make your world magical. collect your metaphors and treasure them.

What quote helps you through those down days?

  1. I absolutely love the unknown one! I've actually been getting into writing poetry lately and I'm loving it so much. I had no idea I even have that in me :) x

    1. I think that's my favourite too! I've read your poem about the ocean and you write so beautifully! x

  2. Loooove this. All three of them are absolutely lovely. The power of quotes, huh.

    Love, Kerstin

    1. Thank you! I know right, you never realise how powerful quotes, or words for that matter, are until you read something that hits your soul
