What I want from next year: 2017

What I want from next year 2017

A new year, a new bucket list. I've never been big on bucket lists, but recently I've found writing lists so therapeutic and useful. I usually speak to myself in front of a mirror strange I know, to get all my thoughts out of my head, but that's pretty pointless when it comes to things I actively have to remember to do, so lists have become my new best friend. Here's what I want to say I've done by January 1st 2018:

♡ I want to unplug for a month: be alone with my thoughts and my notebooks - really get to know myself.

♡ I want to take myself out on dates. At least one a month: cinema, dinner, pantomimes, aquariums.

♡ I want to smile at every stranger I see not smiling

♡ I want to tell myself I am brave and beautiful every day in the mirror

♡ I want to not buy anything materialistic for a month: only spend on experiences.

♡ I want to write and take photographs daily.

♡ I want to read some of the classic books.

♡ I want to read any and every book that takes my fancy.

♡ I want to make friends in the real world because all of mine have moved away

♡ I want to start therapy and actually go and talk about shit

♡ I want to go to museums and see cool shit

♡ I want to read about strong historic people and educate myself

♡ I want to actually practice self-care

♡ I want to go to a theme park and smile whilst twirling on teacups and merry-go-rounds

♡ I want to love myself entirely and depend only on myself.

What's on your bucket list for 2017?

  1. No. 1 on my bucket list is not to give up so easily and stick more to my plans :)
Hope you're gonna achieve all your goals!

  2. This is a great list! I'm currently still working on mine & thinking about all the things I want to do next year but some of them are the same as yours - writing daily, reading a lot, making new experiences and loving myself are definitely on my list too :) Now that I'm done with school I also want to have my first job which is kind of scary but also exciting x

    1. Thank you Sara! oooh good luck with getting your first ever job - the world isn't as scary as everyone makes out lol xxx

  3. This is such a lovely list, I especially love the one where you want to write and take photos daily :) xx

  4. This is a wonderful list. I think being persistent is at the top of my list, because everything needs time to grow <3

    1. Thank you Jennie. Yes persistence is a good one! xxx

  5. This is a wonderful bucketlist, I try not to make mine too dense and difficult because I am probably subject to fail but yours seem pretty do-able and self actualising.

    1. Thank you Ciara! Yeah that's what I've tried to do: write doable things I'll actually achieve lol xxx

  6. what a wonderful bucket list!

  7. You say that you are cutting out the bull**it and being honest in 2017, but just think-on for a minute. I've got another resolution for you: 'Rather than just being negative I'll try (subtlely) to offer some feedback, in the hope that the other person will take it'. You should definitely consider adopting this one Arora, otherwise the ruthless stance combined with all the fluffy stuff could make for a very egocentric and pretentious existence, not to mention conflicted.

    1. I'm not sure I understand what you mean. When I say I want to cut out the bullshit, I mean comparing myself to others, taking things to heart and generally living mindlessly so I'm not sure what your point is unfortunately although I am 100% open to hear you out :) x
