The dreaded question: who are you?

The dreaded question who are you

"Who am I?"

The simple answer, one that most avoid admitting, is "I don't know"

I don't know who I am or how to answer the question of "Who are you?"
Humans are complex creatures whom constantly change, to say you know exactly who you are would be ludicrous because that would imply you haven't learnt or experienced anything new in a very long time. I am coming to terms with the fact that I do not know, and probably will never truly know, exactly who I am because not knowing exactly who I am reflects my growth in life.

Even though I will never know exactly who I am, I aim that the person I am in every each changing moment in which I am alive on this earth is a kind and compassionate one.

All I ever want to be in life is a kind and compassionate soul who brings love, joy and happiness to everyone she has the pleasure of meeting.

It's okay to not know exactly who you are and it's definitely okay to admit it. We can know our likes, dislikes, morals and values but we can never say that they are who we are as those things can always alter.

What do you think makes you, you?

  1. Ahhh such a hard question to answer. My go to for this question, when I usually confront myself with it, is my passions. I'm a poet, a dancer, an artist, a creator, a blogger, a writer. I am a person so overflowing with passions that I don't know if I'll ever be able to peruse everything that makes me sparkle. There is so much more to us though than our passions, though, so even this answe isn't quite *right*. It's comforting to know I have some kind of answe though. Fab post bby 💕
